Parent Coaching

Can coaching really help you?

Yes, if you want to stop yelling and start managing; if you want to stop struggling and start enjoying your family. If you want to stop feeling like you’re just one outburst, or one difficulty, away from the edge!

As a parent of a child with ADD/ADHD, I understand how challenging life can be – and how powerful and empowering coaching can be. Coaching gives you, the parent, the tools and regular support you need to manage ADD/ADHD and help your child thrive.

When parents succeed, kids succeed. Unfortunately, we parents often put ourselves last. I have a unique personal coaching program for parents that puts you in the position to really help your family build stronger relationships, and live with greater calm and peace in your home.  Contact me to schedule an introductory call.

One to One Student Coaching for Teens and Young Adults

Dr. Cindi’s ADHD Student coaching is an ongoing partnership that helps students learn the Executive Functioning skills necessary to increase their school and life success. They learn the skills necessary to lead to self-monitoring so they increase their independence as they transition through the grade levels.

Parents work in partnership with Dr. Cindi to communicate school expectations and acknowledge student success. If you, as a parent, are in a place where you know your child, is not performing in school and you know they are intellectually capable, Dr. Cindi can help! Intellectual ability is different from executive capacity. Bright children may have weak executive functioning. Many students with ADHD need help developing their “Executive Functioning Skills” in order to be successful in school including:

  1. Initiation– This is the ability to begin a task and to independently generate ideas, responses, or problem-solving in order to complete the task.
  2. Planning/Organizing– This is the ability to manage current and future-oriented task demands. (i.e. Completing homework on time and turning it.)
  3. Organization of Materials– This is the ability to create and manage order in work, play and storage. (i.e. Bringing books, papers, and assignments to and from school.)
  4. Self-Monitoring– This is the ability to monitor one’s own performance and to measure it against whatever standard is needed or expected. (i.e. Keeping track of changing daily routines – school and after-school activities)

Dr. Britton provides the support needed through one to one weekly coaching with Middle School and High School students. If you, as a parent, would like to be less frustrated and work in collaboration with an ADHD coach for your child, just contact Dr. Cindi Britton for more information or a consult.

You and your child deserve the commitment to success that Dr. Cindi Britton provides. Contact Dr. Britton for an introductory call.
